Travel Information
Travel Clinic
Cunliffe Medical Centre runs a weekly travel clinic enableing our patients to obtain advice and travel vaccine if they are travelling abroad. Appointments can be booked through reception.
Time-Scale
We advise that patients book into this clinic a least 4-6 weeks in advance of their travel plans, in order that all vaccine courses can be administered and take effect. If travelling in less than 2 weeks, and there are no available travel clinic appointments you may have to go to a private travel clinic listed below for your vaccinations.
Charges
Whilst routine vaccines are available free of charge from the NHS, other vaccine for travelling longer distances are not covered by the NHS. For these vaccine, charges for administration and the vaccine will apply. The practice nurse will advise you of the relevant charges applicable to you during your initial consultation.

Please be aware some vaccines are not stocked in surgery and must be paid for before they are ordered. Once ordered there will be no refunds.
We accept cash or cheques (with bankers card).
Signature Charge and Travel Health Letters
For documentation of the Meningitis ACWY vaccine : £20
For Fitness to travel letters : £50
Note: Routine travel vaccines are FREE, ie: Tetanus, Diphtheria, Polio, Hepatitis A and Typhoid.
Vaccination is now an essential part of most holiday requirements and some courses along with documentation required can be expensive. Please consider including these charges in part of your holiday budget.
